Sport and Exercise Psychology at Springfield College offers a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach to understanding and enhancing human performance, motivation, and athlete well-being.   • Choice of MS Thesis Track for students pursuing research or future doctoral studies or the MEd Applied Track for students seeking hands-on consulting experience and preparation for Certified Mental Performance Consultant® pathways.
     
  • Direct faculty mentorship and engagement in all phases of research or applied consulting.
     
  • Designed for students seeking a comprehensive, immersive graduate education in both the science and practice of sport and exercise psychology.
Online Program
  • 100% online format designed for working professionals who need flexibility and cannot relocate.
     
  • Remote supervision by a Certified Mental Performance Consultant® within the Springfield College program.

MEET THE DIRECTOR

JASMINE HUTCHINSON

JASMINE HUTCHINSON

Program Director and Professor

Jasmin Hutchinson is a certified mental performance consultant through the Association of Applied Sport Psychology and a certified exercise physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine. Her research interests center around psychophysiological aspects of exercise behavior and the effects of music during exercise. Hutchinson is a Fellow of the Association of Applied Sport Psychology and was awarded the Sport and Exercise Psychology Paper of the Year by the American Psychological Association in 2018.
